“Guardate lassù!”, nonno Vittorio con un cenno della mano aveva indicato a all’orizzonte la sagoma chiara del tempio che Antonio Canova aveva fatto erigere. Una gigantesca cupola svettava nel cielo terso. I bambini la paragonarono subito a un’enorme astronave e rimasero a fissarla a bocca spalancata.

“Look up there!”, grandpa Vittorio waved his hand towards the bright silhouette on the horizon of the temple that Antonio Canova had built. A giant dome rose high into the clear blue sky. The children instantly compared it to a great big spaceship and stood gaping at it in awe.
